Galveston College is accepting applications from now through Sept. 19 for student ambassadors for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The Galveston College Ambassadors program is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Galveston College.
What is a Galveston College Ambassador?
Galveston College Ambassadors are a select a group of dedicated student leaders who give service in the fall and spring semesters to the college and surrounding communities. Ambassadors are also liaisons between faculty, staff, students and the community.
Galveston College Ambassadors support, promote and represent Galveston College through volunteerism at campus and community events, such as campus tours, student activities, recruiting events, banquets, galas and meetings. Galveston College Ambassadors may be asked to appear in college promotional materials, commercials and videos.
What does a student ambassador receive?
- Stipend of $100 per month for the months of August, September, October, November, February, March, April and May
- Official Galveston College attire to wear when representing Galveston College as an ambassador
The deadline to submit references and applications is Thursday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. in person to the Office of Student Activities, Cheney Student Center Room 110, or via email to [email protected].
