The Galveston College campus and community gathered Thursday, Aug. 30, to recognize and celebrate Dr. Gaynelle Hayes, vice president for administration, who retired after 50 years of service to Galveston College, the Galveston Island community and the state of Texas.
Above, Galveston Community College District Board of Regents Chair Karen Flowers and Galveston College President Myles Shelton honor Dr. Hayes with a resolution from the board, a proclamation from the governor and a resolution from the Texas Senate during the ceremony.
