The Galveston College Continuing Education Summer Kids College will return this year and keep children ages 8-16 engaged all summer long with a variety of fun classes offered in four, one-week sessions, beginning June 5.
“The Galveston College Summer Kids College is a great opportunity for children to learn something new or continue learning while having fun this summer,” said GC Continuing Education Director, Rick Segura. “We have something for everyone from gaming to cosmetology to arts and crafts. These courses will provide children with an unforgettable experience this summer and parents will be impressed by the skills their children learn.”
The GC Summer Kids College will be held June 5-8, June 12-15, July 10-13 and 17-20 and featured courses include: Computer Whiz Kids - JAVA Programming, eSports Apprentice, YouTube Content Creators and Science Exploration – Engineering Camp and Mad Scientist Camp in chemistry.
Additional course offerings include Cosmetology – Hair Braiding, Cooking – Baked to Perfection, Kids in the Kitchen, Culinary Career Exploration, BLAST Babysitting Basics, Arts & Crafts, Summertime Dance Class, as well as Literature Camps for writing and reading.
