Based on outstanding accomplishments and dedication to student success, Galveston College was recognized with the Rose Award by the Texas Success Center for GC’s work on Pillar 4 of the Pathways model, which is focused on ensuring students are learning, during the center’s Talent Strong Texas Pathways Institute held Nov. 1-3 in Houston.
“We are proud to have received the Rose Award for Galveston College’s work on Pillar 4 of the Pathways model,” said Galveston College Vice President of Instruction, Cissy Matthews, Ed.D. “We are excited to participate in Talent Strong Texas Pathways and collaborate in the design and implementation of talent pathways which ensure students are learning and increase their employment opportunities.”
The Talent Strong Texas Pathways is a $16 million, five-year statewide economic mobility grant administered by the Texas Success Center which is designed to increase the number of credentialed Texans prepared for high-demand careers that offer a living wage.
