Galveston College Electrical/Electronics Technology and Welding Technology program students had the opportunity to attend the Gulf Coast Industry Forum, an economic alliance of the Houston Port Region on Sept. 21, 2023 and network with industry professionals.
During the event, the students talked with representatives from Chevron, The Port of Houston and Turner Industries, among others.
The GC students were recommended by their instructors to attend the career networking event, held at the San Jacinto College Center for Petrochemical, Energy and Technology in Pasadena.
The eight students who attended the event were GC Electrical/Electronics Technology program students, Sarah Scholtz and Lattiffa Williams, and Welding Technology program students Pedro Centeno, Ian Catchings, Eric Fettig, Lacey Webb, Michael Caballero and Jonathan Gurley.
